Though my work may feature a variety of subjects, food is the one constant which throughout my life has been an immense source of inspiration.
Food isn't 'just food' - it's something that we can share; it connects us through good times, celebrations, memories and nostalgia.
When I paint, the world is my playground. I take the things I love and that inspire me, and apply my playful approach to life by putting a twist on everyday objects.
Cheerful imagery and humor, often combined with a darker or melancholy storyline are prevalent themes in my work - creating a perfectly 'bittersweet' cocktail.
I'm equally fascinated with capturing a certain feeling or memory in the form of still life - highlighting the beauty of these humble everyday items.
The majority of my paintings are done in watercolor and/or gouache, though occasionally, I'll use acrylics or other mediums.
